CT DOC’s own public search contains a broader correctional field set, including inmate number, current location, status, bond, controlling offense, admission and sentence data, and several release-related date fields. Those DOC fields are not guaranteed to appear with the same labels in VINE.
A scheduled or estimated date is also different from an actual custody change. Connecticut documentation uses minimum release date, maximum release date, estimated release date, and special parole date for distinct correctional concepts. VINELink should not be used to collapse those fields into one promised release day. If the date matters, compare the live DOC record with the court sentence and any parole action. Then ask DOC for the formal record when the public display is incomplete.

If the person has fully discharged and public details are limited, use the CT DOC Freedom of Information Office or Public Information Office. A Bristol police or court release that never reached DOC requires the GA17 docket and Bristol Records route.
Record the time of each check when the event is recent. VINE, DOC, and court systems can update on different schedules, so two official screens may briefly reflect different stages. A later check can clarify the sequence, while the underlying agency record supplies the formal event date and type.
For parole, BOPP records and DOC Parole and Community Services can add context. For probation, the Judicial Branch Court Support Services Division is the correct supervision system. Release from physical custody and the end of all supervision are not the same event.
